Our FC-16 product needs a Tascam-formatted breakout cable to convert its DB-25 output into eight sets of XLR outputs. If you do not already own a breakout cable, we recommend the HOSA DTM-803.
We tested this cable in our lab and were impressed with the signal integrity, build quality and reasonable price. While it does not mention “AES digital” or “110 ohm” in the marketing, we can confirm that it carries FC-16’s digital signals over long runs without any issue. Another bonus is that this cable has eight XLR outputs and does not need any couplers.
